How to apply

Applications go to a specific call, not to the fund in general. Find the window that fits your track and country, get the four documents together, and send it before the closing date.

Step one

Find your rung

Each track has its own ceiling and its own evidence. Applying to the rung above yours is the most common reason an application is returned unread.

Entrepreneurs

Idea proven, first customers landing

  • Pre-revenue to early revenue
  • A model that can scale beyond the founder
  • Registered, or registering during the grant

Microbusinesses

Trading, owner-operated, ready to formalise

  • 1–9 employees
  • At least one full year of trading
  • Books good enough to plan from

Enterprises

Established, scaling or exporting

  • 10–250 employees
  • Two or more years of operations
  • A market to enter, or a line to upgrade

Step two

What you'll need

Four groups of paperwork, from three different places. Nothing here is unusual for a business that is already trading — but gathering it takes longer than writing the application, so start here.

The business

From the registry

  • Registration certificate, or proof that registration is under way
  • Owner or director identification
  • Tax number, where your country issues one

The numbers

From your books

  • Last full year of accounts, or management accounts if newer
  • Current headcount, split full-time and part-time
  • Bank details in the business’s name

The plan

Written by you

  • What the grant will buy, and why that unblocks growth
  • A budget with quotes for anything over €5,000
  • A twelve-month timeline with the milestones you’ll be measured on

The result

What you’re committing to

  • The jobs, sales or capacity the grant is expected to produce
  • How the project stands against the fund’s five priorities
  • Any co-financing, from your own funds or another source

Documents can be submitted in Arabic, English or French. Nothing needs to be translated or notarised at application stage; we ask for that only if a grant is offered.

Step three

What happens after you send it

Six to eight weeks from the closing date to a signed contract, in five stages you will hear from us at every one of.

  1. Week 0You applyAgainst a specific call, before its closing date. You get an acknowledgement with a reference number the same week.
  2. Weeks 1–2Eligibility screeningA desk check against the call’s published criteria. Anything missing is asked for once — we do not reject an application over a document you could have sent.
  3. Weeks 3–5Technical reviewA sector advisor scores the plan against the call’s criteria and the fund’s five priorities, and may call you with questions.
  4. Weeks 5–6Panel decisionThe selection panel meets and decides. Every applicant is told the outcome and the reasons behind it, funded or not.
  5. Weeks 6–8Due diligence and contractSuccessful applicants confirm their documents, agree the milestone plan and sign. The first payment follows signature.

The applicant portal

One account, all your applications, the documents you already sent kept on file, and the status of a live application without emailing to ask. Where a window takes applications through the portal, the form saves as you type — so you can start it today and finish it the week before the deadline.

Create your account

Windows that are not on the portal yet take applications through the contact form on the call itself, and nothing about the criteria or the deadlines changes.
